Introduction to Zen Meditation Class, Online 1/7 - 2/11

Calligraphy, “Zen” by Zenshin

Six Sundays, 7 – 8 pm CT, January 7 to February 11

This is an online introductory class for people interested in learning more about Zen and Zen meditation (zazen). In each class we will spend time in guided and silent meditation as well as learning about an aspect of the history, philosophy, or practices of Zen. This class is for those entirely new to Zen or those who already have a Zen practice but would like more of a systematic foundation.

Zenshin Florence Caplow, who will be teaching the class, is a Zen priest and teacher in the lineage of Suzuki Roshi and Zoketsu Norman Fischer, co-editor of The Hidden Lamp: Stories from Twenty Five Centuries of Awakened Women, and a Unitarian Universalist minister.

This class is offered by dana (donation). When you register you have the option to choose a donation level or what feels right to you. All classes will be recorded and available to those who register.

Late sign-ups are possible, and you can request access to the recordings of earlier classes.
